Respect for Intellectual Property

ManaBurned respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our service to do the same. We aggregate publicly available pricing data from store websites and display it alongside card identification information sourced from Scryfall's API.

Canadian Copyright Act — Notice and Notice Regime

ManaBurned operates from Canada and is primarily subject to Canada's Copyright Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. C-42) and the "notice and notice" regime under ss. 41.25–41.26. If you believe that content on ManaBurned infringes your copyright under Canadian law, please send a written notice to:

Your notice should include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on our site; (c) your contact information; and (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized.

We will forward notices to the relevant party where applicable and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the content.

DMCA Takedown Notices (US)

For users and rights holders in the United States, we also respond to notices that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). To submit a compliant DMCA takedown notice, provide the following in writing to our designated agent:

Required contents of a DMCA notice (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3))

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or, if multiple works, a representative list).
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it on our site (e.g., the specific URL).
4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe material was removed from ManaBurned in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location on the site before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which ManaBurned may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content after 10–14 business days unless we receive notice that the original complainant has filed a court action.

Price Data and Store Listings

ManaBurned aggregates publicly available pricing data from store websites. If you are a store owner and wish to have your store's data removed from our index, please contact us at contact@manaburned.com with your store name and URL. We will process opt-out requests within a reasonable time.

Repeat Infringers

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the access of repeat infringers to ManaBurned.
